Score all six areas to see your focus. Your lowest is where we start.

The Lux Score compares you with yourself, now and after the work. It doesn’t scan your website, and it never ranks you against other businesses.

    How the score works.

Every area is scored against the same six descriptions, from 0 Missing to 10 Strong. Your lowest area is where the work starts.

    1. 1 · about 3 minutes

      Score six areas

0 to 10 each, against the same six descriptions. A 7 or above needs a number or a date.

    2. 2 · free, 30 minutes

      Check your two lowest

Self-scores can move by a point on a retake, so the call looks at the evidence for your focus and the runner-up before anything is booked.

    3. 3 · one week

      Fix that one area

A one-week sprint on the focus area only, judged on one measure agreed on the call. On Friday you take the same reading again. Your Lux Review suggests a retake after 30 days.

How the Lux Method uses the reading

    Questions

    What is the Lux Score?

A self-assessment of six areas of your business, each scored 0 to 10 against the same six descriptions. Your lowest area is where the work starts. It is free and takes about three minutes.

    How is it worked out?

Each area gets a whole number from 0 (Missing) to 10 (Strong). A 7 or above needs one number or date from the last 30 days; without one it counts as a 6. Your lowest area is your focus. If two areas are within a point of each other, the one you say matters most is the focus. Your Lux Score is the average of the six.

    What do the bands mean?

The band is a label for the average: Dim under 4, Lamplit under 6, Well lit under 8, Daylight 8 and above. The focus matters more than the band.

Does it look at my website?

No. It only uses what you tell it, and it never ranks you against other businesses. It compares you with yourself, now and after the work.

What happens after I send it?

William reads it and replies within one working day. If a sprint fits your focus, a free 30-minute call checks your focus and runner-up with evidence first. If it doesn’t, your result says so, with a free first step instead.
