LUXD is the design practice of William Blake. He does the design, leads every engagement and is the person you talk to.
Bespoke design work is usually priced only after weeks of discovery, before anyone knows whether the work is worth having. That filters out the small businesses that needed it most, and it leaves enterprise teams guessing what a project will involve.
LUXD sells a defined outcome instead. Small businesses get a website at a fixed price, with a monthly service from launch. Product teams get a contract, a retainer or a scoped sprint, with a written scope within two working days of the first call.
LUXD LTD trades as LUXD Studio and LUXD Local. William Blake designs for both, and every project starts and ends with a Lux Score reading.

Complete web setups for small businesses, wherever they are: design, basic search setup, managed hosting, ongoing updates and promotional content, at a fixed price.
See LUXD LocalMany stuck projects are unclear before they are badly designed. LUXD names the one thing that has to become clear, with a number, a deadline and the people it affects, before anything is drawn. The Lux Score is how that starts.
Work is shown in a form a team can decide on: a tested prototype, a plain recommendation, a scope with edges. The aim is a decision, not a deck.
Systems and sites are handed over in a state your team can run and change without LUXD. That is the point of a design system, and of a monthly service that says what it covers.
William is a Senior Product Designer with ten years in product design, mostly enterprise and B2B SaaS. He started at IBM, training Watson products and building conversational apps for npower and Sky. Before founding LUXD, through employment and consultancy, he designed for EY, Barclaycard, Ford, Vodafone, GfK and Faculty. Those are his own track record, not LUXD clients.
LUXD is a one-person practice. That means a small number of engagements at a time, one person who knows the whole project, and decisions made in conversation, not passed down a chain.
LUXD is one designer. The person you brief is the person doing the work, and LUXD does not present itself as a larger team.
Bring the brief, or start with a reading. A written scope follows within two working days.
